Open Village Council Seat
The Village of Burbank has an open seat available on Council.
To apply for this seat:
- You must be a resident within the Village limits.
- You must have lived in the Village for no less than 1 year.
- You must be a registered voter in the Village of Burbank.
The person appointed to this seat will finish out the term of office which expires 12/31/2027; you would need to run for election to continue after that date.
The selected person must be available to attend regular Council Meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm; as well as occasional Special Meetings that could be called by the Mayor. Members of Council are paid $30/month; pay is issued June and December.
Interested applicants should be prepared to address Council at the September 5, 2024 Meeting.

Council reserves the right to appoint the candidate that they deem best suited to serve the community and who will work as a team member with the Mayor and other members of Council.
Temporary Road Closure
Diagonal Road Drainage Improvements
Closure Dates: July – Mid-October (weather permitting)
Closure Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Except for Weekends)
Closure Details: Roadwork is expected to begin in early July to relocate the gas line in advance of starting the storm sewer replacement project in mid-August.
Residents will have access to their driveways while work is taking place. Timing of the project can be impacted by weather conditions.

Important Demolition Assistance for Village of Burbank Residents!
The Wayne County Land Bank is offering financial assistance to tear down structures.
The Demolition Program is designed to offer funding assistance for the demolition and site revitalization of dilapidated and/or vacant structures.
This initiative aims to contribute to community development by addressing the challenges posed by such properties.
This program offers financial assistance for the removal of structures on privately owned or Village owned properties.
